How to plan a simple wedding renewal ceremony

No matter what type of event you’re planning, the organisation of it is part of the fun. Not only do you get to see your initial idea bought to life, you also have control over how that creation looks and feels. This include deciding on the overall theme colour scheme, right through to the music and interior décor.
What many of our customers love about a Tipi-based event (and let’s face it, what is there NOT to love about a Tipi!), is the fact the interior really is a blank canvas. It’s a neutral backdrop for you to style as you wish.
But blank canvas can actually be a bit overwhelming – especially if you’re waiting for inspiration to strike! So, here’s our view on what it takes, to add a touch of style to your Tipi interior.
#1: Know your overall theme
Regardless of whether you’re holding a wedding in a Tipi, celebrating a landmark birthday or planning your own festival, you need to know your overall theme. The theme then gives you an indication of what type of interior décor to go for, along with the colour palette too.
For example, if you’re planning a fairy-tale wedding, you may opt for white and silver. You could then incorporate the bridesmaid colour into your overall colour scheme – giving you three colours to play with for your décor. Your interior could then consist of white tablecloths, with silver cutlery and placeholders, whilst you adorn the tipi poles with ribbons and streamers. You could then place balloons and flowers, that match the colour of your bridesmaid dresses, around the tables. And of course, don’t forget our 20” mirror ball and optional dancefloor!
#2: Don’t forget the lighting
Lighting is an important consideration, when you’re planning an outdoor event. Once the natural light fades, you want to add warmth and light to your celebrations, but you also need it to match your overall theme. This could mean festoon lights, fairy lights around the Tipi poles, hanging lanterns and having torchlights outside, to light the way. It all adds to the ambience and style of your event – especially if you opt for our dimmer switch-controlled lighting.

#3: Keep it to a minimum
This one is our personal favourite, so we may be a little biased, but we believe that less is often more, when it comes to interior styling. Our customers choose a Tipi for their venue, as it blends in nicely and allows everyone to experience the natural beauty of its surroundings.
The outside area doesn’t need a lot of enhancement to make it stylish. Simply bunting, festoon lights and ornate signage to guide your guests is all you need. One of the best ways you can keep a minimalist stylish interior, is to bring some of that beauty inside. A few strategically placed flowers and leaf garlands, hanging from the Tipi poles, in our opinion, looks absolutely beautiful and stylish.
When it comes to styling the interior of a Tipi, that blank canvas doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By sticking to our three tips above, you’ll not only keep the overwhelm to a minimum, you’ll also create an understated, yet stylish, interior style to your Tipi event.
