Elderflower Fields – Tipi At This Year’s Family Festival In Sussex!
Elderflower Fields – What’s it all about?
Elderflower Fields is a family festival in Sussex which launched back in 2012. The organisers wanted to create a festival that was built around families and children first, offering them a unique family experience that opened their minds to new opportunities in sport, music, the environment, the arts and food.
Having gone from strength to strength since 2012 and exceeding all of their expectations, the venue moved in 2014 to Pippingford Park (a beautiful, expansive, wooded Sussex venue), where it will be hosting again this year from the 27th-30th May 2016. As a relatively small, independent festival that doesn’t make any profit, they rely largely on volunteers and good will. It’s these values, along with the family orientated vision that we at Tentario (a small, family-run Sussex business) particularly like. We’re thrilled to be providing a Tipi for this year’s festival!
Our Tipi at Elderflower Fields 2016
We have one of our fantastic Giant Hat Kåtas being used as a spoken word venue, situated on the edge of the family camping field. Our Tipi will host a full schedule of spoken word performers, poets and storytellers throughout the weekend. Why not swing by and have a look/listen!
What is there to do at Elderflower Fields?
What isn’t there to do?! This year there is huge variety to entertain all the family. There are endless activities on offer ranging from kayaking and disc golf to tree climbing, slacklining and circus workshops. There is nature and foraging walks in the woods, arts camps and music zones among many, many more! You can also book children onto certain activity camps over the weekend giving the adults a chance to maybe sample some of the local food and craft ales or even book into the woodland spa!
You can visit Elderflower Fields for a day, or if you want you can camp for the duration of the weekend with full facilities provided on site. We could go on all day listing all of the activities on offer, but for a complete breakdown of what will be at next month’s festival, or for any other information, please have a look at their website (http://www.elderflowerfields.co.uk)
Thought you might be! If you’re looking for something a bit different to entertain the kids with over the bank holiday weekend, why not pop along and get involved – you’ll all love it!
Tickets are on sale now (http://www.elderflowerfields.co.uk/tickets/) – we’ll be going along on the Saturday ourselves!
