Bignor Park is a privately owned 1,200 acre estate situated at the foot of the South Downs and offers spectacular panoramic views in the peaceful West Sussex countryside. It is a majestic, grand venue with a quirky, rugged charm. The possibilities for a Tipi wedding are endless here!

When hiring this venue, clients have exclusive access to 11 acres of the grounds and gardens with several options of where to position the Tipis. Bignor Park has a licence for civil ceremonies in their Greek Logia. It is a beautiful and romantic setting situated within their formal gardens, and is one of the very few venues in Sussex with an outdoor ceremony location. Bignor park also has areas for guests to camp overnight.

3. The Paper Mill, Benenden, Kent

Alternatively, if none of the above licensed venues float your boat, how about having a humanist ceremony/blessing performed by a celebrant? You could either have this in the Tipis or in an area outside them. Think under a tree with hay bales and a flower arch – creating a super relaxed vibe perfectly in keeping with your Tipi wedding! This also gives you the flexibility of choosing the venue you want and not being restricted to those with licenses for a civil ceremony and meaning you can have your entire day all in one place, just as you had in mind. If you decided to go down this route, you would need to arrange for the legal, civil ceremony to take place before your Tipi wedding day at either a Registry Office or at a venue with a civil license. You could make it an intimate affair with just the two of you and some of your closest friends and family.
